CIRMA contracts with Alternative Services Concepts (ASC) for claims administration services for all coverages including property and casualty, workers' compensation and employment practices liability. As a CIRMA member, you have a personal representative who will manage the entire process in partnership with your county, including assigning an experienced defense attorney, if necessary. From the time you alert us to the situation through resolution, we manage the entire process and keep you fully informed each step of the way.

ASC works closely with all CIRMA members to provide you with the assurance that they are properly handling your risk management workers’ compensation and liability claims. Assurance begins with a single understanding – commitment. Commitment is a united effort between CIRMA and ASC to achieve the best possible claim outcomes. ASC’s commitment begins with providing CIRMA members with the confidence of knowing they can administer a public entity pool program of your size and multiple claim types with public entity expertise claims staff. ASC’s commitment is to work with you to improve your individual risk management program and mitigate liability costs across a wide array of departments and claim exposures unique to your county.

THE PROCESS:

Continue to send your injury or incident claim to ASC via Email.
Upon ASC’s receipt of a new liability or workers’ compensation
claim, your ASC claim adjuster will contact you by phone or
Email within 24 hours to begin the claim investigation process
including, but not limited to:

• compensability determination

• subrogation potential

• claims fraud or surveillance potential

• litigation management

ASC’s claim adjusters work with loss control and safety consultants, and interface directly with parties. Essentially, these dedicated workers' compensation and property and casualty claim adjusters serve as a true extension of your county risk management operations and they have a vested interest in the performance of your risk management operation.
